Imagine waking up with Kangaroos, kookaburras and cockatoos. At Great Camping Adventures and Blue Mountains Day Tours we have two exciting options available for people that want to enjoy the Blue Mountains. You can choose to camp overnight or for a full weekend. A full overview of both packages and times our camping adventures operate is below.
Overnight camping/tour experience – a great way to try camping and see the Blue Mountains
There is no need to try and see the Blue Mountains in one rushed day getting on and off buses. We have created the perfect environment for you to see the Blue Mountains of New South Wales.
You will arrive at 3pm on your check in date and be introduced to your camping ground. After relaxing around the National Park and seeing an Aboriginal cave that has stood silently for thousands of years, our qualified chef will serve nibbles followed by a two course dinner.
As the night falls and darkness begins, we will go on a short hiking trail and see if we can find some wildlife.
We then return to the camping ground and we will sit around the campfire and you will hear about how the mountains were formed and the inspirational story of Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson, the three explorers that crossed the Blue Mountains back in 1813.
The following morning you will be woken up to the sounds of Cockatoos and Kookaburras and Kangaroos roaming freely. Then, after breakfast we will take you on a private Blue Mountains tour showing you the most spectacular cliff faces and waterfalls including the Three Sisters. Your day will conclude at 3pm back in Glenbrook giving you enough time to return home.
- NB: Overnight camping/tour experience: $295 per adult. Children aged 5 – 12 $95 per person. (operates all year. Minimum numbers to operate 4)

Weekend camping experience – Aboriginal dancing, Country music and spectacular hiking trails
You arrive at the camping ground at 3pm on the Friday of your weekend. Once your bags are in your tent we go on a short hiking trail to the Nepean River. You will be surrounded by the sounds of the bush. Our qualified chef will prepare some nibbles before a relaxing two course dinner under the stars.
After dinner we travel a short distance to a local property to enjoy the surreal experience of Aboriginal dancing around the campfire and a smoking ceremony.
Saturday morning you will be up nice and early to the sounds of Cockatoos and Kookaburras and after breakfast, we will introduce you to our abseiling team, who are fully certified and experienced abseiling instructors. After initial introductions, our team will get you ready for your abseiling adventure with the most stunning views as the perfect backdrop. Don’t be nervous as your safety is our number one priority. There are plenty of opportunities for photos. Following lunch, you will see the most incredible cliff faces and hiking trails including the Three Sisters.
Once back at the campground we serve an afternoon platter. This is the perfect time for you to walk around the park and find the Kangaroos.
Following your two-course dinner enjoy the sounds of a live country music singer and learn about Australia through song.
